MarQ 24 Inch Full HD LED Tv Review – 24DAFHD
The 24DAFHD model of the MarQ LED Tv is for the 24 inch (61 cm), full HD Tv.
Design of the MarQ 24 Inch Tv
Lets talk about the design of the TV first. Design is not the most important part of a TV, but it should be generally pleasing. In the MarQ LED tv’s case, the design in simple and minimal. There is only minimal branding on the TV and because of the dark black color, it is suitable to be used in rooms of any color.

Build Quality of the MarQ 24 Inch TV
On the build front, we would rate the MarQ LEDs as average. It has a plastic body which is not very high quality as per some users. Customer do get a desktop stand and a wall mount screws to mount the TV to a wall.
Technical Specifications of the MarQ 24 Inch TV
Technical aspects are the most important aspects to look for in any LED TV. There are many things that you should look out for.
- Resolution: The 24DAFHD is a full HD LED TV with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. You can play full HD content on the TV as well as watch HD channels from your favorite satellite TV box.
- Display Type: MarQ 24 Inch has an IPS panel display, which supports higher viewing angles. According to FlipKart, the viewing angles (both vertical and horizontal) should be approx 178 degrees. However, many users complain that the viewing angles are not that great.
- Display Technology: MarQ TV use distributed LED (light emiting diode) technology with which makes sure that the brightness is evenly spread across the screen. This makes pictures and videos look better.
- Contrast Ratio: Contrast Ratio is the most imporant technical aspect of an display. The MarQ LED Tv has a contrast ration of 3000:1, which is average.
- Brighntess: The Flipkart MarQ LED has a brightness of 220 nits, which is again, average at best.
Other features of the MarQ LED TV
The MarQ LED TV is a non-smart TV. It does not have Wi-Fi, 3D, or mobile mirroring. It is also a flat screen TV (no curved display).
Its dimensions are 52.7 cm width by 29.6 cm height by 7.5 cm depth.
The full HD display supports 1920×1080 resolution with a viewing angle of 178 degrees. The brightness of the display is 220 nits and the static (native) contrast ratio is 3000:01.
According to us, the contrast ratio is good for the price of the TV, but the overall brightness could be better.
On the sound front, the MarQ LED has 2 surround speakers which provide a total output of 10W. We believe that the sound output could have been higher and many of the customers also complain about the lack of sound. If you are going to use your TV in a large area, it is better to have external speakers connected to it.
For the ports, the MarQ TV has 1 HDMI port, 1 USB port, and 1 set of AV ports. The VGA input can be used to connect a computer to the tv as well.
The USB port can read HDD and pendrives up to 500 GB, but the video formats might be limited. The TV does not support the AC3 or EAC3 codes, so all you torrenters who download HD movies might be a little disappointed.
We think that a single HDMI port is a disadvantage. At least 2 HDMI ports should have been included.

Should You Buy The MarQ LED Full HD TV?
While there are some things that are less than ideal in the MarQ LED, they are not a deal breaker in most scenarios. The 3 main aspects that we believe are cumbersome are slightly low brightness, only a single HDMI port, and poor sound quality. The last 2 issues can be solved with an [HDMI switcher] and external speakers, but the brightness issues cannot be solved.
The MarQ LED TV is not right for you if you are going to use it in a large area (dining, living room) where sunlight is plentiful. The lack of sound and moderate brightness will be frustrating.
However, if you are considering this for a smaller room, like your bedroom, then you should definitely purchase the MarQ LED TV.

Which one should you buy?
Both TVs are value for money at their price, but you should remember the most important difference, resolution. One Tv has a full HD resolution while the other has a lower, HD ready resolution. The rest of the features should only be considered once this factor is considered.
However, if you are buying a spare display for your PC, or a TV that you would browse the internet on, the HD ready version should be sufficient as well.
